I live in Echo Park. This is one of the older parts of Los Angeles. This is a painting of Echo Park by a local artist and, I think really captures the feeling of the area. By hunting around, I found ECHO PARK has it's own webpage!

My little house was built by un-skilled labor in 1921, before they had building codes. Those are burgler bars on the windows... we call them, "decorative iron grillwork". The window to the left is where I can usually be found... at the computer

BTW... The wood in the background of this picture is a section of fence out in my kitchen garden. There is really nothing to eat in that garden... but it IS right off the kitchen.You can see that later...
