Your Aesthetic Pruner will do the following general things in your garden in the Winter months:

October, November, December:

October:
pruning, thinning and touch-up on pines, magnolias, crape myrtles and flowering crab apples.

November:
continue thinning of pines and begin winter silhouette work on all maples.

December:
pruning and major reconstruction of all deciduous trees (fruit trees, maples, magnolias) and most conifers.

Fall Colors

January, February, March:

January:
general time for reconstructive work (pines and evergreens, flowering cherry and plum, chinese pistache, hinoki cypress, etc.); remove debris from trees and ground; winter pruning and care of fruit trees.

February:
massive reductions for large trees and shrubs.

March:
touch-up work on citrus trees; post-flowering pruning on camellias; pruning of deciduous trees before they leaf out (wisteria, maples, pines, azaleas).
