There are many environmental organizations in the Concord area to choose from. Here are some local groups where you can volunteer and make a difference in your community.

Acton Climate Action Team The Acton Climate Action Team is Acton residents working to reduce local greenhouse gas emissions.
Acton Conservation Trust

The Acton Conservation Trust (ACT) is dedicated to the protection and preservation of Acton's open space through land acquisitions, conservation restrictions, and public policy changes.
Concord Climate Action CCA is a new chapter of the Massachusetts Climate Action Network (MCAN).  CCA will work within this network, as well as through other venues, and may participate in statewide MCAN initiatives such as their current Low Carbon Diet initiative.  Several members of CCA will be trained to engage and educate local residents, who will learn “step-by-step how to dramatically reduce their CO2 output in just a month’s time.” 
Concord Conserves ConcordConserves.org is an online resource for combating climate change and environmental degradation. Its mission is to educate and promote local environmental conservation measures initially for residents and businesses in Concord, MA and then for other towns in the state.
CREW

Citizens Research and Environmental Watch (CREW) is an all-volunteer, grass roots organization working for a complete cleanup of the toxic, radioactively-contaminated Nuclear Metals/Starmet Corporation property in Concord.
Green Team Concord
Green Team Concord is a group of volunteer citizens with expertise in sustainable building and other environmental practices that provides environmental review of town projects for the town of Concord.
Lexington Global Warming Action Coalition The mission of the Global Warming Action Coalition – Lexington is to educate and to raise awareness about global warming and climate change, and to promote actions on the part of individual citizens and our town government to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and develop sustainable practices throughout the town of Lexington.
Mass. Climate Action Network Mass. Climate Action Network (MCAN) is a network of over three dozen local groups dedicated to halting the threat of global climate change in Massachusetts communities.
Massachusetts Interfaith Power & Light Massachusetts Interfaith Power & Light is a non-profit initiative offering Massachusetts congregations of every religious tradition a comprehensive means of reducing energy consumption, lowering operating costs, and promoting clean, renewable energy in houses of worship and related buildings.  
New England Wild Flower Society
The New England Wild Flower Society is the oldest plant conservation organization in the United States, located at Garden in the Woods in Framingham.
OAR
The Organization for the Assabet River (OAR) is a nonprofit group whose mission is to preserve, protect, and enhance the Assabet River, its tributaries, and watershed.
REUSIT
REUSIT (Rescue the Environment and Us from being Smothered In Trash) is Concord's recycling committee.
Sudbury Valley Trustees
Sudbury Valley Trustees is to protecting wildlife habitat and the ecological integrity of the Sudbury, Assabet, and Concord Rivers for the benefit of present and future generations.
Trustees of Reservation
The mission of The Trustees of Reservation is to preserve, for public use and enjoyment, properties of exceptional scenic, historic, and ecological value in Massachusetts, including the Old Manse in Concord.
Union of Concerned Scientists The Union of Concerned Scientists is the leading science-based nonprofit working for a healthy environment and a safer world. UCS combines independent scientific research and citizen action to develop innovative, practical solutions and to secure responsible changes in government policy, corporate practices, and consumer choices.
UU Mass Action The Unitarian Universalist Massachusetts Action Network is led by a Board of Directors comprised of Ministers and Lay Leaders from the Ballou Channing, Clara Barton, and Mass Bay districts and an Executive Director.
