Return to CORY Branch
A minus-blue black-and-white image of Rocky Reach Dam from the Hydroelectric site mentioned on the home page. The key features are noted on the image. The proposed layout will model only the west abutment and embankment, the fish ladder, and a portion of the powerplant.
The above picture may be found on the Columbia Basin Hydroelectric website mentioned before. It gives a good view of the dam itself as well as the fish ladder (the sinuous struncture at the lower edge of the picture). The powerplant is the large structure parallelling the river with the transmission towers atop. The powerlines reach across the river to the switching yard on the east side of the river. The Cascade & Columbia River Railroad tracks are visible as the dark line crossing the lower left corner parallel to and just riverward of US97's two lanes. The proposed layout will model only the west abutment and embankment, the fish ladder, and a west (lower) side of the powerplant.
