“That's
what fame and stardom will get you - leather everything," said comic Perry
Kurtz, watching the frenzied crush around Goldberg backstage. I'm lucky I've got
a leather belt. And, of course, a G-string." Some
members of the audience got to meet at least one comedian up close and personal
- and in a bathrobe. Wrapped in his yellow velour robe, Perry Kurtz sang his way
through a bluesy onstage routine and then wandered through the crowd, felt pens
in hand, to have people autograph his night wear. “Way to go, dude ... good
show," 24 year-old Randall Nang, a husky, self-described rock star in a
leather jacket' told Kurtz as he scrawled his signature in huge red letters on
the robe's right shoulder.
“It's
great," Kurtz said, "Now I can take all these people to bed and into
the shower with me, so to speak." |
