It's difficult to convey to someone who's never been there just how big this event is. I spent a couple of hours walking around the whole site, and never reached the edges. Pennsic has its own geography, with areas commonly known as the Serengeti, the Bog, and the High Meadows. A nice feature of the site is this lake, which must be a lovely place to camp (aside from the mosquitos).
