Stephanie explores the swamp on her TWH Maggie

After getting off to a bit of a rocky start with her young TWH Maggie, Stephanie found her confidence slipping a bit... so decided to send Maggie to boarding school for 30 days to get her a foundation for trail riding which Stephanie could "finish" herself as she and
Maggie gained confidence and trail-time together.
Maggie did so well with her lessons that she proved herself when a horrifying trail riding accident involving another rider sent Maggie cross country on a lifesaving mission where she performed above and beyond what anyone would have expected from a young, green horse.
Maggie graduated as a Heroine!

Janet's horse Blue was a little too spooky to be competitive at horse shows,
so she enrolled him in our trail training program for mileage and despooking.
Pictured above after a 2nd place finish in the trail class at his first show.
Janet and Blue also had a WIN in the English Pleasure division...
Congratulations Janet and Blue!

Jessica & Bailey

After suffering a serious leg injury, Bailey spent over a year in recovery
before his Vet gave Jessica the "OK" to return him to work.
With his ankle still enlarged, and Bailey stepping somewhat short on it,
we started him on a routine of slow, steady reconditioning.
Complicating Bailey's return to work was his semi-resistant attitude
towards taking direction from his rider,
and just plain rambunctiousness after being off so long.
As Bailey's training progressed, he began to use the affected limb more,
and the swelling which had been presumed permanent began to subside.
Today they are happily back on the trails!

Lisa and Ziggy

Lisa brought Ziggy for Trail Training
hoping that some trail experience
would help him to develop focus and mature mentally.

Ziggy stayed 30 days, and alternated his education
between arena work and trail riding,
developing his attention span, and setting him up for a career
as a combination show horse and trail buddy.

Chris and Red

After purchasing her Tennessee Walking Horse, Red,
Chris discovered that he had some physical issues to overcome
as well as needing to restore his "glide ride" running walk.
Working together with Chris, we developed a 30 day training plan
to address Red's gaiting issues without compromising
his recovery through his physical issues.
Pictured above, Chris enjoys Red's smooth running walk.

Vicky and Angel show 'em how to do it, finishing 3rd at Angel's first Competitive Trail event

Pictured above, Vicky rides her horse Angel
to a 3rd place finish in her division
at Angel's very first Competitive Trail Event!
Angel arrived at Performance Ltd barely green-broke and bucking...
only 5 weeks later
she not only completed the 25 mile trail competition,
but also finished 3rd in her division!

Scanno competes at his first Cross Country Event!

Kristie brought Scanno, an off-trackThoroughbred, to us as a last resort before giving up on her dream of making him into an eventer.

Several traditional trainers in her discipline had rejected him and refused to train him due to his energetic personality and playful habits of rearing, wheeling, and bucking when he became bored with the regimented routine
of a show horse after living life in the "fast lane" at the track...

Scanno stayed with us 45 days, and was encouraged to channel his excess energy into his new career through a combination of arena and trail training.
Above, he is pictured  performing at his first cross country event!
