Timeline..)
April 28, 1995:
Take two at the last meeting draws quorum, covenes on time at 7pm,
adjourns at 7:29pm.. Bill, Bob, Joe, and Rob remain in one of the biggest
bull sessions of recent club history.. However, they didnt stay around
long enough, leaving shortly before the arrival of John Balogh.
Meeting News:
$2 summer dues set for new members.. Joe A. and Gary will have to add
them to the key list..
Top Ten Reasons to be in the HUB Basement proposed as theme for tshirts,
agreed unanimously for Dave and Craig and any other member willing to
come up with funny quotes to choose from.. Will be approved early in the
fall so Club t-shirts can be had in time for the Fall Open House.
Spring Open House set for Blue-White weekend..
Winter Open House set to be held either the weekend after first week of
classes, January 13&14, or the weekend after the second week of classes,
January 20&21. Likely the latter choice. To be confirmed at first
meeting in August.

April 19, 1995:
Pres takes GEX to the Nittany Valley Club in Bellefonte... Little hustler
(rubber band drive) diesel is the only power available; it struggles
around their layout.. They meet on Wednesdays.. :
Last Business Meeting of the Semester will be Thursday, April 27, at the
club at 7:30 in the evening.
April 18, 1995:
The PSMRRC Returns to the local Model Railroad Scene.. Pres and L/H
travel to the Clinton Central Model Railroad Club in Castanea, PA with
the Greetings Express Car in tow. It runs around their layout.. A
University Park and Eastern Boxcar is discovered there...
April 12, 1995:

Joe Alexander Demands Point to Point operation... He Succeeds...
April 8, 1995:
Joe Alexander Demands 2 eastbound & 1 westbound.. gets it...
The Crowd of visitors were happy to see bi-directional operation!
April 3, 1995:
Open House is over; Photo Contest was a bust.. here are final totals:
- people day
- 35 Friday
- 217 Saturday
- 56 Sunday
Donations totaled close to $19. The primary benefit was exposure to
incoming engineering students.. yielding quite a few people interested
in joining in the fall... and a Lion Ambassador who will strive to
have some text about the Club added to HUB tours.. Also, an Alum from NC
intends to donate some stuff the next time he's in town, including a
Campbell Scale Models Church..
March 24, 1995:
Quorum was not attained; the elections had to be postponed. Friday April
7 looks like a date..
March 18, 1995:
Mr Koontz accepts Honorary Membership on behalf of him and Mrs Koontz..
Nittany Central 5501 seen with handrails... Airbrush, turnouts, kadees
and some gp50 detail parts are in.. other gp50 parts and cows still on
order... Mr Koontz offered to donate something for a Photo Contest Prize..
March 17, 1995:
The debate as to the Elections Business Meeting Continued today, with a
third day entering into the race.. Doug Whitehead Spotted at Club..
March 16, 1995:
Negotiations with the BMWE continued today, with no real winner
apparent.. Total proxy ballot was proposed; no action.
Nittany Central SDP40s were seen in the paint shop of the Lock Haven
Facility.. Several locomotives have returned from outshopping work at
Conrail's Juniata Shops... Due to continued derailments, a moratorium
has been placed on running extra length trains..
March 15, 1995:
Letter received from Chuck Douds, Pres 58-59... GEX was apparently a
totally unorganized effort...
March 14, 1995:
Two days are proposed for Elections... feedback is light..

New member Brian Beiler (bhb103@psuvm); switch machine on Avis bridge is
made to look like a power substation; Conrail C40 disassembled and
reassembled with cause unfound as to chirping..
February 28, 1995:
Tuesday. Nothing remarkable. Only the correction of coupler height on
PENNRAIL C40 #789...
February 27, 1995:
Bill's work on club locos progresses.. Bob & Rob, stifled from going to
the Ntrak meet, come and BS about the wiring.. nothing much accomplished.
(Except three BODs)
February 26, 1995:
Short in Nova Trucking spur is eliminated! An industry to switch! Mill
Hall Staging is half-wired, and junction switch machine has been rewired.
February 25, 1995:
Work session produces Lock Haven Town ideas, work on Avis Corner. Greg
pours more riverbed plaster...
February 24, 1995:
Alumni member Dan Cupper found to have written for Trains magazine in May
'89 and has written books! Work on first Ottawa Yard Tractor Has begun;
Christmas Lights have been found at club.. Bellefonte details..
February 23, 1995:
Bellefonte, Pa. Station gets labeled; Sale starts at Dave & Alan's
Gunsmithing Shoppe... Some ballasting is done in bellefonte... Bill Swain
appointed Rolling Stock Committee Chair.. Mrs. Koontz made Honorary Member..
February 21, 1995:
Greg Herd makes headway with Avis river... 7 flies killed. Local
operation of (Passenger) Train from Bellefonte to Loch Haven occurs..
first since the melting of the switch...
February 20, 1995:
Alan Uhler sighted at club... Track Two platform furthers itself.
February 19, 1995:
More small yard switching. Resoldering of curved lead of Bellefonte Jct.
turnout; attempted resoldering of common wire to Mill Hall Jct. Turnout;
work progress on Lock Haven Track Two Platform.. Lower Crossover still
won't throw automatically.... Thought about wiring the Mill Hall Staging
Track...
February 18, 1995:
Craig, Nissa, Gary and Rob scenik under Vail bridge, Lock Haven Engine
Facility (New mountain is awaiting input from Mark W.); MR Vols. 16, 17,
18 and 19 found bound. Also, Somewhat Successful Yard Switching was
performed with PR 199.. Derailments numbered 9 and the South Ladder
required uncounted 0-5-0s.. How about Point to Yard Operation???
February 17, 1995:
Accident in Tyrone; two cars fall to floor, one falls to lower level
shelf (and remained intact).
February 12, 1995:
Mark Wurst Appears.... Helps clean workbench.. Fire Truck Accidents
halted; Potential new member Steve drops by..
February 11, 1995:
Guess what... the Avis bridge etching is completed; Pack 3 was fixed;
Avis corner mountain finished; McElhatten Main track finished; (Joe A.
and his spur project want the other.. hm.) Sceniked the gap below Vail;
Rewired loose wire of Portal Block.. Nittany Central must be taught not
to have a derailment up there again...
February 6, 1995:
Bellefonte Service Restored.
February 5, 1995:
Mr Groves is finally visited; He donates a 4x8 layout, scenery, rolling
stock and two 0-6-0 Steam Engines to the Club.
February 3, 1995:
Nissa Becomes Club Artist; drawing charicatures of many members; Joe
Nekrasz Joins Club
January 27, 1995:
In her first Business Meeting, Nissa suggested that the Club buy
cows for the layout. Too bad it was a Fred idea from 1989... She only
got to second the motion.... The motion was accepted Unanimously.
January 24, 1995:

Club gets Photo exposure in the Collegian.
