- Check the raw lists below to see if your name is spelled correctly or if someone
you know has an address missing. Full addresses aren't listed-- only email-- but
the files are coded to denote whose address we have. If you have some we don't,
please send it to us!
Just about 300 names are still on the missing list...

- Beware, traffic can be high at times, as weekly meeting announcements and
other items are common. The current move has traffic at an all-time high...
Digest mode is available, which sends one message a day with all of that day's
traffic. (If there's no traffic, there's no digest)

Penn State Model Railroad
Alumni Association.
(Or, the Penn State Model Railroad Historical Society?)
It has been proposed that an association of PSMRRC alumni be formed.
Such an organization would have a twofold purpose. First, to reunite former
members of the club through annual or semi-annual events, perhaps in conjuction with a
club open house, and second, to
enhance the support network for the club. It could also be an interest
group within the Penn State Alumni Association.
Says PSMRRC President Chris Wolfe, "It's long overdue. When you think about it, the average
club member is at PSU for 4.5 years, yet they hold the club dear to their hearts long after
graduation." Well said, Chris, well said. Hmm, could he be graduating soon?
An email discussion list has been created for the steering committee, seperate from the
L-PSMRRC list. This new list is RRALUM-L@lists.psu.edu. It won't have the high traffic
levels that the L-PSMRRC list does, and it will move most Alumni discussion traffic away from
the L-PSMRRC list. Send subscription requests to Rob McKeever.
An First Annual Alumni Reunion is being planned for the Spring of 1999. More details to follow, in the
Lion Express. This will be a 44th birthday celebration, such that the 45th celebration will be the
second annual reunion.
Club History
It is the intent of the Club's Librarian/Historian
James Rogala
to write a History of the Club. He is looking for anecdotes from the
"old days", accounts of major events in club history, major purchases
(such as the sabre saw of '65 or the solder gun of 2/3/73, both of which are
still in the possession of the club), essentially anything that you can remember,
James would like to know.
Some of the items you send to James may very well find their way into
a future issue of The Lion Express.
James has also suggested a 10,20,30,40 years ago column.
In addition, starting with the Spring 1998 issue of the Lion Express,
there will be an Alumni Spotlight column. Here will be notes of interest
that Alumni want to pass on, such as promotions, engagements, weddings, etc.
