Favorite Hobbies

I enjoy being outdoors, riding either bike, camping, but if I'm indoors I like working/playing with my computer or making pinecars or something to customize the Goldwing along with playing with the two pooches. I like electronic gadgets and especially my Toshiba laptop.

My first laptop was a Toshiba 430CDT and I still have it and believe it or not it still works even after 8 years. I can still get about 2 hours out of the battery.		My latest is this Toshiba 5105-S607 1.7ghz w/15" monitor. It's a home entertainment system with a computer built in.
When pocket PC's and Palm devices came out I was hooked and my first one was a Casio Pocket PC with b/w monitor and WinCE software. I still have it and it still works but what with the new faster software I found a good reason to upgrade to a Compaq iPAQ. I also have a Sony Clie NX70V.		I use the iPAQ for keeping tabs on my accounts, scheduling rides as well as with the Navman GPS to help me find my way across the country. The Sony is neat because I can take still pics as well as video along with a full dictionary and world time and currency exchange info. Plus both have a few games to have fun with.

	My company's Rec team came up with a fun idea to break the monotony of work with a few fun events during the year. Pinecar Derby Day is one of them. They hand out cub scout pinecar kits and give us about three weeks to make something that resembles a tiny car. I have had fun these past five years making some interesting cars. I think I will start working on speed more than looks next time.
