Viruses are snippets of RNA and DNA that attach themselves and invade living RNA and DNA in our tissues, leading to mutations in our genetics that cause illness.
Those who use silver colloid do so because of its ability to kill bacteria, viruses and fungi. Bacteria are much larger than viruses and can live almost anywhere; in the air, on our food, in our blood, on an eyelash if they want. But viruses are a whole separate life form on our planet. They live in their own world. They're natures's ultimate and perfect parasite. Viruses can live only inside of someone else's cells. They have no enzymes at all for producing their own energy and can't even reproduce on their own. Outside of the host's cell they're completely inert, almost dead really.
Their outer coat, called the 'capsomere', gives each virus its unique shape. There are only about 20 different shapes which viruses assume. A group of capsomeres form their outer capsid shell. The inner, living segment is pure DNA or RNA. Thus, viruses have nothing inside but pure genetic material. They have to invade a host cell to inject their viral DNA or RNA into the host, literally turning the host cell into a virus factory. When the cell becomes filled with this material, it dies. Even a typically large spherical capsomere is no more than 120 nanometers in diameter, which translates to about 3 billion viruses to the inch!
Once a cell has filled the virus migrates to the next cell and begins the process all over again in an almost self sustaining chain reaction. Some viruses, like Dengue fever, replicate voraciously. A single host cell infected with a single virus will reproduce and eject 100,000 new virus units into the host in a very short time! 1

A microcluster is a term for an aggregate of elemental atoms that are in a small critical count or less. That is, at the critical count, which varies from atom to atom, there is a kind of demarcation where below that number the atoms tend to disaggregate and stay that way and above which they tend to aggregate and stay that way. Metals are aggregate in counts greater than the critical. Some of these colloidal minerals are aggragate in counts below the critical and their properties are more like ceramic and are superconductive. The critical number for gold and silver is two, platinum is five, paladium is seven, iridium is nine, rhodium is nine. Minerals, like colloidal silver and others, contain some proportion of the elemental atoms in their monatomic or microcluster form. These are the active ingredient. The rest is essentially waste.
Squibb-Meyer Labs reports that in the presence of these microclusters the RNA/DNA chains denature (relax or unravel, if you will) - then recombine to correct for genetic defects, shutting out the mutant snippets and evidently in some cases enabling some of our dormant genetic material - some of the eighty percent and more genetic material that science does not know what it does or what it is there for.
David Hudson has evidence that these microclusters are superconductive, even at elevated temperatures. The genetic material is responding to the superconductivity. Evidently, when man was banished from the garden of Eden, he was cut off from the gold in the river Pishon (commonly thought to be the Tigris or Euphrates) - where there is the 'gold that is excellent; bdellium and lapis lazuli also are there', (Genesis 2:11,12) which gradually disabled his genetics until we fell back to this present state. Humans are sometimes referred to as 'containers'. They are weak, highly susceptible to evil, selfishness and are generally no darn good, but they have that genetic material that is the stuff of gods, only occasionally tapped and generally not cultivated. Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS)
Shortly after the June 1992 AIDS conference in Amsterdam, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome researcher Dr. Paul Cheney announced that he had 20 CFS patients in his practice who had the same immune system deficiencies as the non-HIV AIDS cases. The government scientist responsible for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome research at the National Institutes of Health, Dr. Stephen Straus, finally admitted in early 1993 -- after 13 years of trying to prove that Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is a type of depression -- that immune system deficiencies are part of the illness. Dr. Straus and his colleagues published data showing that CFS patients, like AIDS patients, experience a drop in the number of T4 cells in their blood. (ibid)
