Sebring 10/99

It was a very busy two weeks since the maiden voyage of the new car.  We had a smoking problem when lifting off the throttle.  When we got the car home, we pulled the exhaust and found that one of the valve guides was broken and others were loose.  So we pulled the motor, got the heads redone and put it back together in a week to get ready for this race.

Mark Peeples, my partner in the team.  Needs to run two SCCA events this year to maintain his license.  I will be going to an SCCA driver school in February to get my competition license back again.

Here are some pictures of the event.

Getting reay to put a competitor a lap down.

The weekend was very sucessful.  The motor was strong and does not smoke anymore.  The handeling was OK, but there is much more in the car that we have to do some tunning to get out.  The next planned event for Plum Crazy Racing is the Turkey Trot weekend on the long course at Sebring November 27th & 28th.
