| KOA - Caddo Mills - 5/25/08 | |
| I waited too late to make camping reservations for Memorial Day so we had to settle for the KOA in Caddo Mills. As it turns out, we had a great time at a great campground. I would recommend this KOA to anyone. | |

| Ray Roberts Johnson Branch - 6/7/08 | |
| Again, I waited too late to make reservations for the campground I wanted to try, but I was able to get reservations at the Johnson Branch campground in Ray Roberts State Park. Johnson Branch was a little farther away (about 20 minutes) then Isle Du Boi, but it was well worth the trip. We had a great time and had a great camping site. | |

| Fairfield State Park - 6/20/08 | |
| We spent two nights in Fairfield on the way home from Galveston. I really liked this park with the exception of the warm lake water. This might be an excellent place to visit in the Spring and the Fall when most lakes are too chilly to swim. | |
