Family Business. RCA/Columbia Pictures Home Video, 1990 [video] Based on a book by Vincent Patrick. Though the book does not take place in Hell's Kitchen, the film does. At the beginning there is a great pan shot taken from the rooftop of the Troma building across Ninth Avenue from Worldwide Plaza.

Hell's Kitchen [film] 1998. Three street punks and a girl from Hell's Kitchen attempt to rob a drug den.

Mr. "Silent" Haskins/The Angel of Hells Kitchen. 1915. USA. In this silent film the heroine goes to Arizona to close the family business, a dance hall and gambling saloon.

Shaft's Big Score. MGM, 1993. Filmed in 1972. [video] An early scene in the film shows the east side of Tenth Avenues from the Columbus Branch Library (representing a police station) to the end of the block.

Sleepers. Warner Home Video, 1997. Based on a book by Lorenzo Carcaterra.

State of Grace. Orion Home Video, 1991. [video] Fictionalized account of the exploits of the Westies crime gang.
