Why eat algae?
Super
Blue Green Algae (SBGA) provides more vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino
acids & chlorophyll
per gram than any other
food source on Earth and all in a raw organic form!
What is Super Blue Green
Algae?
SBGA is a microalgae of the species Aphanizomenon flos-aquae. It
grows wild in Upper Klamath Lake,
Oregon, a pristine volcanic
lake in the Cascade Mountains. It is the bottom of the food chain, the
foundation food for all
life on earth.
How is SBGA different from
other algae or green foods?
Chlorella
& Spirulina are artificially cultivated while SBGA is wild-crafted.
Algae is lower on the food
chain than other
green foods and contains 2-3 times the chlorophyll of alfalfa. SBGA
has a balanced
amino acid profile which
alfalfa, wheat grass and barley grass do not have.
Why eat from the bottom of
the food chain?
Toxins
become more concentrated the higher up on the food chain we go. Eating
at the bottom of the
food chain allows us to
minimize ingesting toxins in our food.
What are the benefits of eating SBGA?
How much should I feed my
animals?
Every
animal will have individual needs, but the rule of thumb is 1 Alpha capsule
(1/6 teaspoon) per
pound of food, or 1/3 tsp
animal food powder. Adjust up or down as needed.
New Scientific Information about SBGA, Commonly asked Q & A

Super Blue Green Algae and Natural Killer Cells
This study was performed by Dr. Gitte Jensen at Royal Victoria Hospital. It demonstrated that within two hours of ingestion, SBGA triggers the migration of nearly 40% of the circulating NK (Natural Killer) cells into the tissues where their main function is to perform immune surveilance and eliminate cancerous and virally infected cells.
Super Blue Green Algae and Chloesterol
In a study performed at Massachusetts General Hospital, affiliated with Harvard University, scientists reported that SBGA decreased cholesterol levels by up to 75%.
Super Blue Green Algae and Traumatic Brain Injury
The study was conducted by NeuroLab in collaboration with the University of New Mexico. The conclusion was that SBGA, along with Dynamic NeuroTherapy, led to an average of 95% recovery in six weeks.
Super Blue Green Algae and Omega 3 Fatty Acids
A study was performed by
Massachusetts General Hospital to determine whether the essential fatty acids
contained in SBGA were bioavailable and whether the algae could constitute
a good dietary source of omega-3 fatty acids. The conclusion was affirmative,
the essential fatty acids were "remarkably bioavailable."
ARE SIMPLEXITY
PRODUCTS SAFE?
This information is taken from Simplexity literature.
All Simplexity products are perfectly safe for everyone. We know this because we subject regularly collected samples of our algae and the water it comes from to a wide variety of scientific analysis and tests. It is important to remember that these testing standards, established by Simplexity, far exceed those of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. There is no food product we know of that undergoes more stringent quality and purity control analysis and tests. The samples which are tested are taken daily, and in every batch of product, to insure that all Super Blue Greentm products are safe, pure and healthful.
DOES Super Blue Green Algae PRODUCE A NEUROTOXIN?
Super Blue Green Algae, made of Aphanizomenon flos-aquae from Upper Klamath Lake, has not produced a neurotoxin in fifteen years that Super Blue Greentm Algae has been tested. Of greater importance is the constant testing and microscopic examination of the algae being harvested, to make certain no toxic conditions exist.
ARE THERE ANY OTHER SPECIES OF ALGAE IN UPPER KLAMATH LAKE THAT COULD PRODUCE TOXINS?
Other algae, such as Microcyctis could grow in Upper Klamath Lake and could produce toxins under certain conditions, but our constant sampling, testing, and examination keeps insuring that the Super Blue Green™ Algae products are always pure Aphanizomenon flos-aquae.
HOW DO YOU TEST FOR THE PRESENCE OF NEUROTOXINS?
Every day, a sample of fresh algae is taken and analyzed to determine the species is pure Aphanizomenon flos-aquae. These tests show that the algae in the lake is usually 99% Aphanizomenon flos-aquae, with the small remainder being Pediastrum boryanum, a non-toxic algae. To double check and to insure the algae are totally toxin-free, a series of precise biochemical assays are made. We use a test called an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) to check for any toxins from a different algae called Microcystis. We also double check for neurotoxins, produced by Anabaena flos aquae. We use, among other tests, the very advanced technology of high pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC). This test easily identifies the presence of even trace amounts of any such organic substances. These tests are part of an entire series of tests done on every batch of Super Blue Greentm Algae.
IS THE ALGAE SAFE FOR CHILDREN AND THE ELDERLY?
Absolutely. Here is the fact: There has never been a medical report of a toxic reaction related to the consumption of any Simplexity product. The Vegetarian Times article quoted a person who has never visited Simplexity and has never had any contact with those who have eaten the algae or those who harvest and process it. Such speculation is not based on science or even personal knowledge. Simplexity products are totally safe.
CLEANSING REACTION: WHAT IS A "CLEANSING REACTION"?
The body is a miraculous
healing machine. When fed the right nutrients, when given the proper exercise
and care, the body will, like a river, begin to cleanse itself. This cleansing
process occasionally may result in temporary physical responses such as
a tingling sensation, queasiness, and similar mild physical symptoms. In
all cases, however, these symptoms come to an end when the natural cleansing
process has been completed. This process is good, it is not related to physical
problems and damage to organs, and it is medically accepted. Many people
who enjoy the benefits of Super Blue Green Algae see no such responses at
all. The body is different in every individual. Such cases of cleansing are
natural and not a cause for alarm.
It is very important to
remember that anyone who is concerned about the occurrence of such symptoms,
or who has symptoms such as these for a longer period of time, should seek
the advice of a medical practitioner.
LAKE CONDITION: IS THE LAKE POLLUTED WITH AGRICULTURAL RUNOFF?
No. Upper Klamath Lake is an active, flowing body of water, that rapidly moves millions of gallons of water from its sources (the Rivers of Light) to its southern end and the harvest site. It is a thriving, clean ecosystem that is regularly tested. If the statements in the article were true, the state and federal environmental protection agencies would have issued warnings, required by law, to all who are near or in the water of such danger. There has never been any such condition, and there have never been any such warnings.
WHAT WATER QUALITY TESTS ARE CONDUCTED?
Every 15 minutes, we check the water for temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, resistance (measuring ions) and density. These tests reveal the precise purity of the water, and they are conducted at the harvest site, to insure the data directly relates to the water from which we harvest Super Blue Green Algae.
WHAT IS BEING DONE TO KEEP THE LAKE CLEAN?
Simplexity's corporate commitment to maintain
the purity of this magnificent source of our products is simply enormous.
To insure the future cleanliness and purity of this magnificent resource,
we work regularly with community, regional, and state groups involved in
insuring water quality for this geographical area, and we constantly create
and participate in environmental programs aimed at keeping Upper Klamath
Lake pure and clean.
