Sabak was our first Great Dane. He came from Joyce and Bob Ecker,  Devrok Kennels. He was my "practice" dog in conformation. Sabak had no American points, but had 5 Canadian points from our one show in Canada. He was also my introduction to obedience training. Sabak lived to ten years old.

"Liberty"

Alano Striped Tease at Waccabuc, TD
"Tassel"

Ch Maitau's Top Billing x Ch Alano's Anastasia of Maitau.  Tassel tragically died at the age of three of a "fever of unknown origin." She was working towards her TDX and was a major shy of her championship.

Dagon n' Spandania Pip at Waccabuc, TD, CGC
"Paisley"

Paisley  (1991-1998) was retired from the conformation ring  due to illness. She had all her minor points and was looking for majors at the time. She was pulled from obedience training just shy of being entered in shows to get her CD due to advancing blindness from cataracts. However, she  worked in Freestyle despite her disability. She performed her Freestyle routine at the 1996 National in Wisconsin. Paisley was Dagon n' Spandania Pip at Waccabuc, TD, CGC, (10 conformation pts), my Freestyle partner and my friend.

Ch. Waccabuc's Gnome de Plume, TD, CGC
"Druid"

(2-20-96 to 6-19-05) Druid was a Group placing dog of whom Rachel Page Elliott, author of The New Dogsteps said "Watching him move is watching poetry in motion." He was a Versatility dog (Ch, TD) our first Dane to have a title at both ends, the truly balanced dog. He died too soon and is missed.

Ch. Merci Isle Celestial Light, FCh, SC, CGC
"Halo"

Halo and Betty doing the flamenco

(DOB 5-26-96) Halo was our first Whippet.  She introduced us to the sport of Lure Coursing and got her Field Championship (ASFA) in 4 tries. Halo was smart as a whip-et! She ran circles around the Danes in Freestyle and gave her first public demonstration at the Boston shows in Dec1997. She also performed at the Whippet National Specialty in 2000.  Sadly, Halo left us too soon in January 2005.
