Greater Washington - Great site for music, dancing, crafts, folk
festivals, and many other events. Publish newsletter and sponsor
many events.
Potomac Celtic
Festival - Annual Celtic festival in Northern VA in May. Great
music, dance, exhibits, and other activities.
Smithsonian Festival of
Folklife - Held the last weekend in June and first weekend in July,
this is a huge festival that features music, dance, crafts, and food from
at least three different American and world cultures every year.
Washington Irish Festival
and 4th of July concert on the Mall - Sponsored by the National
Council for the Traditional Arts, these are two great music and dance
programs.
Takoma Park Folk Festival
- A more regional festival, this also features a lot of excellent music
and dance in mid-September. |
