| Philosophy
Design is
everything. Up front design is the most important part of FoxPro and
Visual FoxPro. Most people don't put nearly as much effort into the
initial design as they should. The time spent is paid off several
fold in lower development and maintenance costs. Screens (user
interfaces) should be simple and uncluttered. Complex screens should
be split into pages. Keep databases simple and relationally
connected. Follow the rules of normalization, but be ready to break
the rules if it makes more sense.
