Below are links to the Twilight Falling sample chapters (in pdf format).  Twilight Falling (originally published in late 2003) is the first book of The Erevis Cale Trilogy.  It is followed by Dawn of Night and Midnight's Mask (and the events of those books lead into Cale's new trilogy, "The Twilight War," which begins with Shadowbred). 

 

Feel free to download the chapters, print, read, and (hopefully) enjoy.   Ideally you will be so taken with the book that you will not only buy it, but you will accost complete strangers on the street, in bars, and on public transportation, and insist, in loud, apocalyptic tones, that they buy the book or the world must needs surely end.  Or something like that.  :-)
