| Goals and Objectives of the PRC Racing Team |
| The 2001
season at Kalamazoo Speedway went very well. Being our first year at Kalamazoo
and in the Super Late Model class. The learning curve was rather sharp.
We quickly learned the high caliber of competition at the Kalamazoo Speedway.
With the track management not allowing any of the race teams practice time
on the track, we were forced to go to a smaller local track that was somewhat
similar in shape, which was helpful to an extent. Never the less, every
week our race day lap times decreased and our car and driver were going
faster. During the season we made numerous chassis and engine adjustments
to our benefit. Our qualifying efforts and our finishes were improving
on steady bases. We where achieving the results of finishes in the
top five in the "B" heat races and features and had a fair amount of top
ten finishes under our belt as well.
Just when it looked as if we might qualify fast enough for a "A" main event we experienced an engine failure, do to a broken camshaft (a manufacture defect). With just under six races left to the end of the racing season our year was over. Even with a shorten season, we finished thirty-second in points out of seventy-one cars total. In 2002 we hope to use the experience and knowledge of the racetrack and chassis that we obtained from pervious year to start the season from where we left off in 2001. Some of our short-term goals include qualifying in the top twenty for a "A" main event. Another is to increase our knowledge of the track, the chassis and the drivers at the Kalamazoo Speedway. This will help our team to obtain better finishes. Our Long term goals include finishing in the top ten in the points standings and overall just being more competitive and gaining more exposure. With a new engine combination already on the way and some new sponsorship backing , we are looking forward to a very successful 2002 racing season. We would like to thank all the people involved in helping our team get the car on the race track and we look forward to seeing you at the Kalamazoo Speedway.
