The Optimist Club of Coronado Meets every Thursday morning at 7:00 a.m.
Meetings are in the Coronado Community Center, 1845 Strand Way. Continental breakfast is provided.

The Optimist Club of Coronado was chartered by Optimist International in 1970 with 26 members. Since that time, the club has grown to over 110 members. Our club conducts a number of activities, not only  for fund raising but also for community enjoyment and involvement. Principal among these are the Spring Concert, normally in March each year, and the SportsFiesta conducted the last full week in July. Beginning in 2008, the Coronado Family Gym is a proud partner of the Optimist in sponsoring the Sports Fiesta which is in its 37th year. The Sportsfiesta includes a number of individual and team competitions, culminating in the mini Triathlon held Sunday morning. For the benefit of the members, the following tax implications are important: Contributions made to the Foundation will be tax deductible.  This will include fines and the 50/50 drawing.  Payments made to the Club will not with some possible exceptions.  These exceptions would be spelled out individually as they occur.
