Nothing of great import

Interns, interns, everywhere. Civil interns. Fraud interns. Tax interns. Criminal interns. Federal defender interns. Bankruptcy interns. Judges' interns. Seems like everyone's got an intern these days. Maybe I should consider getting one. ;-)

Good day. Helpful and really nice life-stuff meeting in the morning (okay I really am going to be a tax lawyer -- don't laugh!!), lunch at Philippe (or is it Philippe's??) ;-) Work, low-key and interesting. Happy hour at Weiland Brewery with collected interns from the various government buildings downtown. Salsa class, and watched enviously a little bit of the tango practica going on next door. So no, I haven't been practicing, and no, I haven't really been reading anything or getting in touch with people or really doing anything productive at all really, besides work and learning to make tiramisu. Still, at least for tonight, life is good.

For all you avid Your Ad readers (yeah, all, um, 2 of you...) -- my apologies for being so neglectful lately. Ten whole days! Tisk, tisk. :-P

Not much new out here in L.A., which is the main reason for my neglect. We're in the middle of "June Gloom", which suits me just fine -- have never objected to a little fog and morning drizzle. Work is good -- nice people, fun neighborhood, and possibly the happiest lawyers I've ever seen. Think I will avoid saying too much more than that. ;-) Haven't started my grand plans of intensive practicing, reading, and salsa yet, but I have hopes that this will commence next week! Also looking forward to the several visitors making their way through L.A. in the next few weeks...

Continued

Still can't really believe that from such humble beginnings grew 48 pages. Haven't quite gotten over the sense of Giant Paper hanging over my head. Or school generally, for that matter.
Stopped in Boston on way home -- so, so nice to see Roommates again! Lots of shopping (too much), lots of sushi (never too much), and really fun party. I miss Boston -- the people especially, but the buildings, the food, the sense of history that was so amazing to me when I first moved out there. Coming from a place where everything constantly shifts and an "old" establishment is one that has been there more than 20 years, it was a decidedly strange sensation to realize how many generations of people had lived in every one of those brownstones...
Home now. It promises to be an interesting summer.
