Engineer's Week

Engineers' week (or E-week) in mid-February was a great success, with a lot of participation. Being involved in E-week was not only be a rewarding opportunity in the sense of helping girls and young women grow their math and science skills, but also a networking opportunity for our members to meet other Engineers and Educators in the Atlanta area.

We are especially grateful to all the generous people who sponsored the E-Week Activities, such as the Hands-on Teacher Training. Sponsors are listed below.

The Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and Society of Women Engineers (SWE) partnered to bring technical learning to the middle and high school science and math teachers. We converted several hands-on activities into lesson plans for teachers. Each of these activities was tied to education standards and was designed to help teachers bring their learning to their students. Participants will receive 6 hours of professional development credit from this all-day event.
