What We Do
- We have participated in Introduce a Girl to Engineering during E-week over the last several years.
In 2006, SWE national will co-sponsor E-week with Northrop Grumman. SWE Atlanta will contribute an all-day forensic science
lab for gifted girls in middle schools.
- We partner with local corporations in their diversity programs. Our weekly emails inform members of local
job openings, as well as technical and professional development events.
- We provide opportunities for those members, who do not yet hold corporate leadership positions, to practice
and develop their leadership skills in a non-competitive environment.
- Our mentoring network for members, both as mentors and mentorees, provides excellent opportunities for our
members to develop professionally.
- Our Outreach Programs in elementary, middle, high schools and colleges, encourage young women to consider
science & technology as rewarding careers. By meeting women who are in successful technical roles, and who have similar
interests, school-aged girls receive a positive perspective on engineering.
- We partner with the local Girl Scouts to enrich their science & technology programs through our Speaker's
Bureau.
