At one time in
our life we look for something, we search, but I have never seen so many people united in their loss. Everyone wants to leave,
but how do you do that when you are lost?
A ten-year-old girl rides her bicycle, back and forth, down
the same alley between Hollywood and Sunset Boulevards... Later on this evening, the Pacific Ocean will surely meet with the
caliginous twilight; cold, monstrous, and beautiful.
Los Angeles is a ‘vision of a city', a form to inhabit.
It is a place existing in the interval between daylight and the cloaking darkness. Dead-beat poets, idols in bas-relief --
I pray that I may not scatter. In this pitch-black night, I dream. I awake, and I see things as they are.
