Yuriko
Hoshina is an actress, singer and the only one Japanese girl cabaret
performer in NY.
Yuriko is originally form Tokyo, Japan. She graduated Nihon University College of Arts (Tokyo, Japan) in voice major, hold a degree of B.A.
Right after her graduation, she came to NY to study acting in 1998. During her study at HB studio in NYC, she started her
professional career as a singer and an actress. She has appeared in many stages and films since then.
In 2002, she produced and featured "one woman
musical comedy cabaret show 'Living Doll'.
After the great success of the show, she has been producing and performing her cabaret show "Pagoda", "Yuriko's
Pagoda" and "Pagoda Girl volume
2" in NYC and Jacksonville, FL.
Pagoda girl is a girl who is not a pure Japanese and certainly not an American. Also she is too polite
to be in America, but too outspoken to be in Japan. This Pagoda series has been her major hit in U.S. Pagoda series provides
a high-quality entertainment by presenting the various cultural issues in Japanese and American society, and highlighting
the Pagoda girl's experiences for being involved in both cultures at stage. Her stage is known as "educational",
"unveiling Japanese culture", and "SO FUNNY !!”
