The last few feet of Hawkins Creek are rendered impassable by very large concrete blocks, perhaps the remnants of an old bridge. It is possible to put in here, below the dam and paddle on to the ICW. All that needs to be done is to cut out the brush over-hanging the creek, and we will have a paddle trail to the Intra-Coastal Waterway and the Sound. |
