Mill Creek

This is as far as we could paddle up Mill Creek. The flow and depth of the water is still very good which indicates this stream can be made navigable a long way upstream from here if these obstructions were removed

On the return, we encountered Ernest Grant aka "Winston", a waterman who has worked these waters for decades. Oysters were the catch of the day. He is a local historian and related the life and times of a waterman in these parts. We enjoyed his stories about the wildlife, especially his personal alligators. He respects the wildlife and the environment and we salute him.
