This is as far as we could paddle up Mill Creek. The flow and depth of the water is still very good which indicates this stream can be made navigable a long way upstream from here if these obstructions were removed |

On the return, we encountered Ernest Grant aka "Winston", a waterman who has worked these waters for decades. Oysters were the catch of the day. He is a local historian and related the life and times of a waterman in these parts. We enjoyed his stories about the wildlife, especially his personal alligators. He respects the wildlife and the environment and we salute him. |
