TRIP DESCRIPTION - Nice, peaceful 7 mile trip down a fairly wide stretch of the Trent River. We should have a little current with us, but unless there is a deluge right before our trip, the current should be pretty slow. Almost immediately after the put-in, you will notice the lack of development. (a military OLF is on our left for about 5 miles) It continues on this way until we near the town of Pollocksville at the take-out. Hopefully, we will see the turning leaves of autumn. About 1/2 way down, we stop for a lunch and rest break. We may have a Port-A-Let available here. Various forms of wildlife should also be encountered along the way. It's a beautiful trip. Last year, we had over 25 people for this trip.
