My info
64 years old and retired, I'm finally getting around to doing more of the things I have always loved. I have been
sailing for about 40 years, starting with a little Glen-L catamaran and a Cub Scout sailing merit badge handbook. Over
the years I have owned a wooden catboat, built in the 1890s for Barnegat Bay, a 24 foot Venture and, finally, my friend and
companion of 25 years, Circe. Circe is a yellow 1976 Pearson 30 and we have covered a lot of miles together. From
1978, when I bought her, until 2000 her home was on Lake Michigan. When I returned to my childhood home in New
Jersey, she came with me. Our trip across Lake Erie, down the Erie Canal and down the Hudson would have made a great
subject for this site. Sadly, I didn't do anything in the way of photos and the log consists of a notebook full of cryptic
notes that would be way too much trouble to put into coherent form. Suffice it to say it was a grand experience.
The things I love are closely related. Sailing and travelling. My wife, Pat, and I will be spending much of
the year travelling in Europe and the Islands. To facilitate the second part, we will be moving Circe to the Bahamas,
beginning with a trip down the ICW to Miami this fall and crossing to the Bahamas in the spring. Several people on the
Sailnet P30 site have asked if I will be posting a log or pictures, so I set up this site to accomodate their vicarious pleasure.
Maybe it will inspire some of them to do the same sooner rather than later.

This is a space filler. Hopefully, as they become available, there will be pictures of Circe and some of her Ports
of Call.
