I would be a lot happier if I could have a more Zen-like attitude. As it stands, I get hopping mad every other day because something isn't going well. The latest aggravation is getting the UN books from Philadelphia Central Library. We put it out to bid. There was only one bidder, but their bid was over the dollar limit, so we had to do a statement of price reasonableness. The procurement office told us to go ahead and award the bid. Now, they're questioning the price reasonableness again, after they already told us to go ahead! What's up with that? In the meantime, the folks in Philadelphia are wondering whether we really are coming to get the books. Breathe ... breathe ...
