That's good! No, that's bad.
The TV program "Hee Haw" used to have a running gag between Buck Owens and Roy Clark. One would make a remark, and
the other would reply, "Oh, that's good!" Upon which the first would say, "No, that's bad," and go on
to explain why the seemingly good event turned out wrong.
Here in Government Documents & Maps, we have our own version of the gag going.
"We're getting a bunch of books from Philadelphia."
"Oh, that's good!"
"No, that's bad. We have to find space for them."
"Oh, that's bad."
"No, that's good, because we can move our microfiche to Dole Cannery where the air conditioning works."
"Oh, that's good!"
"No, that's bad, because when someone asks for something, we'll have to go over there to fetch it."
"Oh, that's bad."
"No, that's good, because by moving the microfiche over there, we'll have room for the map cases in Sinclair Library."
"Oh, that's good!"
"No, that's bad, because then we won't have any place to put more books."
"Oh, that's bad."
"No, that's good, because then we can work on the hundreds of thousands of books we already have!"
"Oh, that's good!"
Well, you get the picture.
