Dave Bowman, our second flood recovery assistant, and Yuri have been killing themselves to unpack the boxes of books
we received from UH Hilo. They're about halfway through with the ones at Dole Cannery. Once that is finished, they'll start
on the Belfor boxes. They must divide their time between Dole and Sinclair Library (if it's Tuesday, this must be Sinclair!).
Dole Cannery houses less-used volumes and large runs of material from the Census Bureau, Department of Energy, Department
of Education, NASA, and Congress. United Nations material and more highly-used agencies such as Agriculture, Defense, and
State, are housed at Sinclair Library. Although it is not our preference to have our collection split between two locations,
we must live with the situation until the end of 2008, at least. All material is available via paging with a maximum 24-hour
turnaround time.
