How many library staff members does it take to pack over 1,100 boxes of documents? More than five, as we learned last week while packing up over half of UH Hilo's government documents collection for transfer to UH Manoa. Ross Togashi, Clara Inouye, Barbara Kudo, Lori Horiuchi, and I spent the week boxing thousands upon thousands of documents. Fortunately, we were aided by the staff of Mookini Library and almost finished! We'll pick up the few remainders later. In the meantime, we'll be processing these newly-acquired replacements along with the thousands of other documents we've gotten from other libraries with the help of our new flood recovery assistant, Yuri Kenney.
