On Thursday, Dec. 8, Island Movers unloaded two containers containing 930 boxes of books that had been sent to Belfor
in Fort Worth, Texas. The books were freeze-dried and stored until we acquired space at Dole Office Building to house them.
Included in the 930 boxes were 843 boxes of government documents salvaged from the flood. In addtion, there were dozens of
boxes of Archives material and some Gifts & Exchange books. We will schedule a workday when our shelving has been constructed
so that we can unpack and sort the materials. It was nice to see some of our old friends, still wrapped in the same waxed
paper used by Rich Tominaga and his book-packing crews!
