The knowlege and experience I have come from many years of training and showing my own dogs to top levels of dog sports.
Over the years I have had many clients with all breeds of dogs, from the smallest to the tallest.
My goal is to teach the owner to understand thier dogs behavior, and how to get the best behavior from thier
dog.
I use whatever method of training is going to work for the dog and handler as a team.
Dog training has come along way with many advancments compared to 20+ years ago. We understand our K9 friends much
better, and use more behavior modification then we use to. I am always keeping up to date on new training methods, while also
keeping with the old methods that still work as well.
I understand that not everyone is out to have a great performance dog, but a nice behaved pet they can live with and take
in public to enjoy thier companionship.
When ever possible getting a puppy off to a good start with puppy classes and good positive life experiences will
help you and your pup get started on the right track.
Imprinting good behaviors on a puppy is very important, and teaching the owner how to use the puppies life rewards in thier
everday use as a training tool.
A young adult dog, will still be going through numerous stages of development before he turns into a calm mild
mannered dog. Obedience training will help you have a much better relationship with your young dog. This is
the age most dogs end up in the pound, becuase the owner does not know how to deal with his energy and distructiveness, most
of the time. Learning how to focus your dogs energy on to something postive, and combining that with obedience training will help
you keep your best freind :-)
Dogs love to work for you if given the oppertunity. They feel much better when they are surrounded by structure and
know what pleases you. They are more then willing to follow the rules once they understand them.
