Adept at working in different media, from metal leaf to encaustic, faux bois and stone to Venetian plaster (we do virtually every decorative technique, as well as pictorial work).

About Jane Armstrong: After graduating from the Museum School/Tufts University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, I began painting decoratively in New York in the early '90s. It was my good fortune to work with exceptionally skilled painters and some very talented designers and architects.

I spent a number of years as a project manager for historic restoration projects, for example, the new Asian Art Museum, Timothy Pfluger's Mayan deco ceiling at 450 Sutter, and the Edward Trumble mural in the Chrysler building. More recently I formed Ornamento, returning to the more creative and personal aspects of this kind of work.
