VOTING IN ORANGE COUNTY

The candidates are one thing, if I could vote for non-of-the-above I might. Both of the major parties should be kicked out on their Asses but if I vote for another party it's like throwing my vote away so once again I'm forced to vote for the lesser of two evils.

The propositions are something else. There are a bunch to vote on but only 4 that I've taken the  time to research. I'll just vote against rest.

proposition 83 more commonly known as Jessica's law takes the sentencing of sex offenders out of the hands of judges and makes a long sentence mandatory. Sounds good to me.

proposition 85 This is the dumbest thing I've ever heard of.  We have to vote for this if want young girls (under age) to tell their parents that they're going  to have an abortion.

proposition 87; This is a beauty, it gives 4 billion to a committee to encourage scientist to discover a fuel substitute. Like any brain dead politician could encourage anyone, like the committee isn't going to Piss the 4 billon away.

Measure M is a renewal. Orange County Transit Authority (OCTA) is responsible for keeping our streets & highways in shape. I think it was in 1991 that they got a bill passed (measure M) to provide funds. One of the requirements is they renegotiate every 5 years and it's that time! Another requirement is that they (OCTA) file a report.  The voters information booklet just came and it had and extra 34 pages extolling the work of OCTA.

What gets me is how the Hell that 34 pages could be considered voter information??? I think the OCTA found a way to make us pay for a requirement they are responsible for.

Another thing; the streets in orange county are in awful shape. The reason I know that is because I've to take surface streets ever since the OCTA took the 22 freeway out of service.  They've got it open but they might as well have closed it. The 22 runs between western Orange County where I live and Eastern where Mike lives and Kristina goes to school. I've been carting Kristina to school for the past 2 years. The 22 was torn up when I started and it's still torn up, it's faster to take surface streets. I'm wondering if it took that long to build it.

Well the election has come and went.....

Proposition 85 FAILED! and M PASSED! I Don't understand the voters I don't think they had read these.
