Coach Tony Fryer

Coach Tony Fryer has helped produce winning programs
at 5 high schools and 4 colleges, including 3 major college Division I level programs. He has directly coached, or coached
against many players who have gone on to play professional basketball in the NBA and internationally. He has learned to teach
the game from coaches who are in the Basketball Hall of Fame!
Locally, Coach Fryer was a member of the staff at
Florida International University, and resurrected the boys program at Pompano Beach H.S. where he led them to the elite-eight
regional finals in the FHSAA State Tournament in their very first year of competition.
Tony began his career in the tough Chicago public
and private school leagues. He then went on to coach at Chicago State University - where he also served as Assistant to the
Athletic Director, the University of Chicago, and DePaul University - where he worked with former National Coach of the
Year, Joey Meyer.
Coach Fryer also has an extensive behavioral science
backround - working as an academic advisor at the University of Illinois, a high school guidance counselor here
in Broward County, and leading behavior modification programs for youth and adults across the nation. Tony is a member
of the National Association of Basketball Coaches, and tutors coaches of all levels in the methods of the American Sport
Education Program, while currently serving as Director of One on One Basketball Academy.
