Viggenite, originally designed by Burt Rutan as the Vari-Viggen pusher canard. Renamed the Viggenite since
it deviated from the original plans. The design for this plane was approved and subsequently constructed as an all metal,
flush riveted, retractable gear two place aircraft built IAW current FAA construction standards. It's powered by a Mazda
13B Rotary engine with an Ellison Throttle Body injection system, cold air induction and a Spectre High Performance High
Flow Air Filter. Dual electric bus (Main Bus is Optima Red Top, Ess bus is Odyssey PC 680). RWS Version 2 dual electronic
ignition is installed and powered by a separate electrical system & battery (Ess Bus). The prop is a composite
Catto 3 blade mounted to a Ross 2:17 reduction drive. Avionics highlights include a flip flop digital NARCO MK 12D VHF/VOR
radio, flip flop digital Terra 250D altitude encoding transponder, DG, compass, RST 442C voice activated intercom with
music input and recording output & a Garmin GPS III Pilot wired to aircraft power with remote antennae.
It has dual 55W Halogen landing lights, position lights, strobe lights, Angle of Attack indicator on the glare
shield and all the standard flight instrumentation. Other features include a backup emergency gear extension,
electric reflexor trim, manual elevator trim, dual remote gascolator drain valves, dual Champion oil filters and
UMA engine gauges. Both cockpits have flight controls, throttle & rudder pedals, aircraft powered ANR comm hookup and
12V power outlets. Warning lights (alternator, fuel and oil), cabin air vents and cabin heat wiring are also
installed. Cockpit width at hips is 18.5", 23.75" at armrests and 22.75" at shoulders. Length 25'ft 6", wingspan
20', canard wingspan 8'. Currently 27.6 hours and counting.
