My love of horses led me to Morgans in 1959 and became more involved with the horses when I met, fell in love with and married Bert.
Our daughter Michelle was injured in a serious escalator accident in 1981 causing us to get involved in Miniature Horses and, as they say, the rest is history.
With over 40 years experience training, showing and breeding horses, we have learned just how important temperament, health, genetics, conformation and athletic ability really are to the life of a horse. We have also learned how important it is to bring these traits to a breeding program.
Our horses live as natural a life as possible. Our mares live in herds with their stallion. We leave foals with their dams as long as possible usually weaning at 6 months. Fillies and colts are also kept in small herds so they can continue to experience a herd situation. Doing this helps our foals to learn pecking order and makes them much more respectful of their human counterparts.
