at Old St. Mary's
Old St. Mary's Parish Choirs
St. Mary's Choir's principal responsibility is to provide liturgical music
for St. Mary's weekly Sunday Latin High Mass (10:00am). It also provides music
for all principal liturgical celebrations in the Christmas and Easter holiday
season. The choir meets weekly on Thursday evenings at 7 pm. Membership is open
to anyone by audition.
St. Mary's Schola Cantorum is a men's organization
formed to provide music for the noon Mass. It also provides music for holidays
and other special occasions. The Schola Cantorum meets once a month on Thursdays
at 6 pm.
St. Mary's Festival Choir was formed to provide music for the
annual St. Cecilia's Day Concert and the Good Friday evening musical service at
which is performed a major work.
In The Choir Loft
These programs are given on the third Sunday of the month at 2 o’clock. They
are all performed from the Choir Loft. There is no admission charge for this
series.

Wayne State University Salutes Detroit
The annual program, "Wayne State University presents a salute to downtown
Detroit", takes place on Tuesday November 26 at 1:30 p.m.. This program is
performed by members of all the musical organizations of the University School
of Music.
The Advent Luncheon Series
This is a series of organ recitals of music for Advent & Christmas given
on the three Thursdays of Advent at 11 o’clock. There is no admission charge for
this series.
