Possible Klappvisor hinge and hold down method. This interchange hinge is based loosely on the Bascinet at Veste Coburg.
Make the center hinge section oversized and cut a groove in it to accept the paddle which holds both
the hinge on to the bacinet and locks the visor down. This hinge system would need to to be somewhat more robust
in construction and size, because all the stress of the blows would be focused on this latch.
