Night Goddess of the Hunt

This is a Harrow dedicated to the Goddess of the Hunt. In the North Her name is Skadhi. I personally associate Her with the moon and the night-hunter, the Owl. Skadhi is the Goddess of Skiing and of snow; there is a crystalline and cold quality about Her. She is of Jotun descent, and She therefore the Patroness of some of those who are at home in the wildest and most inhospitable places of the Earth. She can grant clarity and focus, and the joys of wilderness.
On the harrow you can see a Valknot-embroidered rune pouch, and a round "coffer" decorated with red and green spirals. The Goddess is seated on a throne carved into the shape of a troll. In Her Night-Huntress aspect, She has owl's wings ( associating Her with the owl is my personal vision, and not taken from the Norse myths; but one has to go with her feelings in such matters!). Another of Skadhi's familiars, the Wolf, is represented in on a dish in front of Her (only the edge of the plate is visible). There are four underglaze-painted symbolic dishes in the four directions encircling the Goddess. Also present on the altar are flint arrowheads, and water
from melted snow.
