In keeping with it's mission to seek ways to enable our church to "demonstrate God's love in everyday life," the Equipping
Team held our first canned food drive in December of 2004. All food donations collected by the church were
sent to the Orange County Food Bank ( http://www.orangecountyfoodbank.com/)
In January 2005, the Equipping Team has suggested collecting monetary donations to aid the victims of the tsunamis in
Southeast Asia. All money collected will be sent to a relief organization that we believe will put our funds
to best use. As of February 20th, our church has collected over $1100!
In December of 2007, our church collected shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child, a ministry where people give Christmas
presents to children in impoverished countries that would not otherwise receive anything for Christmas.
Also in December of 2007, church member purchased Christmas gifts for children of mothers who were currently residing in a
half-way house here in Orange County. The mothers were extremely grateful for the gifts their children were able to receive
for Christmas as they rebuild their lives and work toward recovering from their addictions.
