Mortgage Payoff Celebration

We Celebrate God's Faithfulnes To Our Congregation

On Sunday, September 19th, we celebrated the paying off of all our building fund debts.  Nine years after moving into our building in 1995, God has enabled us to do what seemed impossible several years ago.  The day featured a ceremonial burning of our church's mortgage, a delicious lunch catered by Island Grill restaurant and a testimony by Mrs. Miyoko Tvedt, our longtime building fund treasurer and chief fundraiser.  It was a day to remember the Lord's awesome faithfulness and provision to this church.

Shall we burn this paper? Yes, please do. (Also, we're hungry.)

The food was a hit among all generations--the young, seniors, newlyweds and even a monk.

Everyone enjoyed the day's celebration, but no one enjoyed it more than Mrs. Tvedt (right).

Time to cut the cake, but Trustee member Mas Sugihara first wants to know how much the cake costs.

Cindy: "Let me show you my 'praying mantis' kung fu move I learned in China." Joy: "OK!"

That celebration was great . . . . . let's have another soon!
