Survey Results
By Marlene Yamashita
Thank you to all who returned the recent survey. Your feedback was combined
with others to give us an idea of where we, as a church, may be headed. The survey
results can be examined in different ways. At this time, we will look at questions
#13 and #14. At the same time, we will look at the results from the perspective
of those who marked themselves as a Lake Park participant or not (#3c; participate in acti- vities such as choir, Admin Council,
attend church,etc.). The goal/planning
session on October 24th will also consider this view in determining directions for 2005 and beyond.

The results are from surveys returned as of 10/13/2004. The charts show percentage
as well as the actual count of the responses received in parentheses.
David Iino, Leo Saito, and Nancy Saito contributed
their ideas and opinions to give it form. They were also involved in every step
of the process. John Golden and Rev. Barbara provided some excellent finishing
touches. We also received support in the way of “preliminary third-party
feedback” and survey folding, envelope stamping and stuffing from Chiyo Futagaki, Marcy Kawabata, Hugh and Irene Lee,
Nancy Teshima, Lois Shimasaki Oda, Tsugi Oshika, Min and Margaret Tsujimoto, Karie Yamashita, and George and Helen Yoshida. (My apologies to anybody I have inadvertently forgotten to name.) And, I also want to thank you for allowing your “voice” to be heard via your returned survey
– we would have nothing without your willingness to participate.
