I've decided to change the new entries postings. From now on the first page will be the last entry I make -and- any previous writings will become links [Somehow!]. I think this makes the most sense all the way round.

My friend says I don't like the C-word [change] and he's right. A line from a song that Angie Paris sings on her CD titled UMBRELLA says it like this "I guess it's safe to say I don't know what to want...so, I cling to what is near". Yep, that's a state of mind I'm familiar with.

Well, change is at my doorstep because I am looking for a new apartment. I have not had to do this for five years - which is some kind of record for me actually. I'll probably have more to say about this process of apartment hunting later, for now it's just a matter of fact that I've got to begin the search.

Changing subjects ------> I like to send postcards. Peoria PostcardI like to receive them to, of course. What I like most about postcards other than the fact that you can hold one in your had (unlike email) and they usually have cool pictures on them, is that they contain only enough space for a few words. This means the sender must be frugal with the words of his message. It also means if you are thinking of someone - but don't really have anything monumental to share you don't have to compose a letter that's 90% filler.

Another aspect of collecting and sending postcards I like is when you send them to someone who you've shared an experience with. Saving a postcard from a fun time you've had with someone and sending it to them years later is a very neat thing to do in my opinion.

My favorite postcards were from my Aunt Joanne. She lived in and around the L.A. area of California. She was a whole lot of fun to be with and always had a way of making the most of stuff. My gramma was the same way - always doing little things with a lot of extra care. I miss them both.
