(Los Angeles Public Library). One in this collection is for J. Leslie B. Shepard. Inscription continues, "son of Gary (sic) and Nancy Shepard. d. 4 - 21 - 34. Aged 4 yrs 1 mo. 11 days."
Place found: White Cemetery on Norton's Farm.

From the same location this book gives the inscription for J. Leslie's paternal grandmother, "Prudence, wife of Levi Shepard, d 8-26-1843 age 74 yrs"
