When I left Nurnberg, I attended Ohio University, McMaster Divinity College,(Canada), Hartford Seminary Foundation and Christian Theological Seminary in Indianapolis. After studies, I was a prison Chaplain in Ontario for ten years, a minister in the United Church of Canada for thirteen years and Professor of Preaching and Pastoral Theology at Huron University College (Anglican) for another thirteen years. It all seems to have gone so quickly. Another life!
We have had a good life together, my wife, Betty, a Canadian, three sons and four grandchildren. We lived and worked mostly in the Great Lakes Basin from Windsor, Ontario on Lake Erie to the Toronto area on Lake Ontario and now we have retired to Owen Sound, Ontario on the beautiful Georgian Bay of Lake Huron.
In retirement I preach occasionally and do workshops for clergy and pastoral care workers. We sail our little C&C 24 on the Bay and watch the fishermen catch the Chinook salmon from the cold, deep 'holes'.
I salute you all who gather in Las Vegas and invite you to visit us on the Bay anytime you are traveling this way.
I remember my year at Nurnberg with great fondness and grieved the loss of those friends over the years. It is wonderful to be in touch again with some people from those days.
